Update #1

This update to Kill The Arcade adds a huge new 'powerup' system in the form of a Game Genie. You can buy it in the prize room and attach it to the arcade machine. Now, every time you start a wave you will input a code. There will be an action (such as every time you shoot, or take damage), a chance %, and a result (such as you gain a quarter, damage goes up). All 3 of these are chosen at random, making literally thousands of possible combinations. It can make for some very interesting codes, most of which I haven't even seen.

There are also many new weapons, gear, enemies and bosses.

I have added 4 new machines to the arcade, including a version of the classic STACKER. Please enjoy.

Hello.  This game is FANTASTIC!  Excellent work, not many games like this one out there for old school gamers.

I would like to make a suggestion/request;

As an old school gamer, I still play twin stick shooters using my Xarcade joystick, which works in such a way that each button/command/or direction presssed relates to a keyboard keystroke.  For example, pressing Up on the joystick presses the W button on the keyboard.

Can you make an option to allow people to play this game using only keystrokes so I can configure both joysticks on the Xarcade joystick to function as a true twin stick shooter?  I don't like using a PS4 controller with the thumbsticks to control characters in twin stick shooters.  It's not the way twin stick shooters were truly meant to be played.

So can you please allow the option to assign the mouse movement of the aiming/gun cursor to keystrokes?

Kind Regards,
Christopher.

Sure thing, I'll look into it. To be clear, you'd want the shooting mapped to like the directional keys?? That way you can program the joystick to them?

Hi there.

Ideally I would like to map like Xarcade - the left joystick as the directional keys, up, down, left and right, and the right joystick would be mapped as follows: Fire Up - R;  Fire Down - F;  Fire Right - D; Fire Right - G.  If these were programmable it would be fantastic.

For example, some twinstick shooters use this configuration; Left Joystick - W,A,S,D keytrokes;  Right Joystick - Up, Down, Left, Right keystrokes

Kind Regards,
Christopher

Hello there.  Yes that is correct.  WASD assigned for movement and up arrow, down arrow, left arrow and right arrow keys assigned for shooting.

I play this game every day it's so addictive.....I just love it.

Kind Regards,

Christopher.

is there any way to transfer the progress from the previous version into the new one? because after updating it made me start all over
